“He’s played a huge role in my development both as a goalie and as a person.”

I’ve been working with PJ Musico since June 2024, and in that time, he’s played a huge role in my development both as a goalie and as a person. Since we started working together, I’ve had the opportunity to represent Team USA twice at the U17 Four Nations Tournament and the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, as well as earn a spot with the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL at just 16 years old. I’m incredibly grateful for the work we’ve put in together and the impact he’s had on helping me reach these goals.

What makes PJ such a great coach is that his development goes far beyond the ice. From off-ice training and video review to workouts, meal plans, and the mental side of goaltending, he puts a lot of thought into every part of the game and what it takes to compete at a high level. He pushes me to work harder, and hold myself to a higher standard.

At the same time, our relationship goes beyond hockey, and I enjoy being able to connect with him over things like surfing and the beach. That personal connection makes working with him even better.

I genuinely love working with PJ, and he’s been my favorite goalie coach I’ve ever had. I’m thankful for everything he’s taught me so far, and I’m excited to keep building on what we’ve started together.

“He knows my game better than almost anyone.”

I've been working with PJ since 2018, and over the years he's become much more than a goalie coach. He's been one of the biggest reasons I've stayed consistent and kept developing through different teams, coaches, and levels of hockey.

I started the Musico Method full time last year, and the biggest thing I get from it is constant, consistent feedback. Positive or negative, I know I'm always getting an honest evaluation of my game and something to work on. That consistency has been invaluable, especially on teams that only had a part-time goalie coach.

After working together for so many years, he knows my game better than almost anyone — my strengths, my tendencies, and the areas I need to improve. That makes his feedback incredibly specific and meaningful. He's helped my game evolve at every level I've played, and a lot of the habits and consistency I have today come directly from the work we've done together.

Off the ice, he's a great guy. Our relationship has grown far beyond goalie coaching, and I consider him a friend and someone I can always count on. He cares about me as a person as much as he cares about me as a goalie, and I think that's a big part of why we've lasted this long. He's also a huge goalie nerd, which is probably why we get along so well.

I'm extremely grateful for everything he's done for my career. Having someone who knows my game, constantly challenges me, and is invested in my development year after year has made a huge difference in the goalie I've become.

“He doesn't sugarcoat things. He tells him how it is.”

Owen has worked with PJ for several years now. He started during his first 18U season with the Ducks, continued through juniors, and is now entering his first year at Army West Point.

The Musico Method combined with Owen's drive has been an effective partnership with measurable results. From the start, Owen and PJ set clear, achievable goals and followed a plan to reach them.

Owen wanted to advance through the junior ranks and earn a Division I scholarship. Through PJ's mentorship and guidance — and Owen's work ethic and desire to master the position — he moved through the second tier of juniors (BCHL/NAHL), played tier one (USHL), and ultimately received an appointment to Army West Point.

Every athlete has their own path, and working with PJ gave us the comfort to trust the process. He was always available to Owen, and to us, to discuss his progress and offer guidance on his hockey journey. It was invaluable to work with someone who has gone through the process himself and maintains relationships at the highest levels of the hockey community.

PJ holds Owen accountable and pushes him to achieve everything he's capable of. He doesn't sugarcoat things — he tells him how it is. For a goalie who wants to maximize his potential, that's the most effective training and mentoring model available. More importantly, Owen and PJ have formed a lifelong friendship that goes well beyond hockey.

“My game has taken massive strides since joining the program.”

PJ Musico and the Musico Method have given me high-level personalized training both on and off the ice. My game has taken massive strides since joining the program, and it's allowed me to excel at the NCAA level.

PJ takes a holistic approach, which lets me see my game from every angle — on ice, in the gym, nutrition, recovery, and more. My favorite part of the program is the on-ice sessions and going through video to nail down the small details.

I highly recommend this program to any goalie looking to succeed at the highest levels.

“Working with PJ changed the trajectory of my hockey career.”

Working with PJ changed the trajectory of my hockey career. He understands the game and understands the athlete he’s working with too. If anyone has the chance to work with him they won’t be disappointed.

“Every session on the ice with PJ has a purpose.”

I've been working with PJ since I was 14, and what I've always appreciated most is how detailed and intentional his coaching is. He takes a scientific approach to goaltending and breaks down even the smallest details in a way that makes sense and translates to game-like situations.

Every session on the ice with PJ has a purpose, and he's always finding ways to help me improve on and off the ice — whether that's getting stronger in the gym or being more confident in my game.

PJ played a huge role in my development over the years and helped me reach my goal of playing Division I hockey at St. Lawrence. I'm extremely grateful for everything he's done for me and for having him as my goalie coach throughout my career.
